NEDBANK CHALLENGE

FROM THE EUROPEAN TOUR WEBSITE
Danny Willett is on course to secure his second European Tour title after leagfrogging Luke Donald to the top of the Nedbank Golf Challenge leaderboard at the halfway stage of the final round today.
The 27 year old Englishman, whose only victory came at the BMW International Open in 2012, completed the front nine in 33 strokes to move two shots clear at the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, South Africa.
Willett continued where he left off on Saturday, when he carded a seven under par 65, confidently picking up shots at the second, third and fifth to reach 15 under.
Donald, celebrating his 37th birthday, held a one-shot lead overnight but failed to maintain his challenge following a disappointing start that saw him bogey the third and fifth.
However, birdies at the sixth and ninth kept the former World Number One in touching distance of the leader as he attempts to secure his first European Tour victory since winning the BMW PGA Championship in 2012.
Ross Fisher, playing with Willett and Donald, made up ground on the leading pair with two birdies in his first four holes.
And despite making consecutive bogeys from the fifth, gains on the eighth and ninth left Fisher only three shots off the pace.
Four birdies, including two at the third and fourth courtesy of long putts, lifted Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat to seven under through nine.
Two shots further back are German Marcel Siem, Spain’s Miguel Angel Jiménez, who is two under for the day, and Swede Jonas Blixt.
Alexander Levy found the ninth hole problematic after the Frenchman required 10 shots to complete the 596 yard par five, leaving him five over.
