ABERDEEN BUSINESSMAN ESCAPES THE SCOTTISH WINTER

IT AIN'T HALF HOT IN NEW ZEALAND!

FROM JIM HARDIE
Aberdeen businessmen and low handicap golfer
Spends most of our UK winter in New Zealand.
fishing some of the time (that's him in the middle
of three pictured below) but golfing mostly.

Greetings to all your readers from a sweltering South Island, New Zealand !

It's been touching the 30 deg mark just about every day, and the need for cold drinks, and a caddie cart are essential !
So far after nearly three years of injuries, able to just about play every day, and gradually getting the hang of it again !
Await with interest the arrival of John Cramond, who is in Australia doing the Royals golf courses tour. Then he plays Royal Auckland and Royal Wellington, and then down to the South Island, where Sir Bob (Charles) and I await !
I gather we miss not a lot back home, although I have to admit the TV in the UK far exceeds the offering Down Under
Anyone considering a trip, and/or moving to New Zealand would be well advised to take plenty of funds, as the exchange rate means a £  does not get you a lot, but the climate of course compensates !
My best wishes to you, and all your readers for a happy and prosperous 2015

Jim Hardie
