DORNOCH MAN SHOOTS A 67 IN CALIFORNIA

 GUNN REVIVES QUALIFYING HOPES


Jimmy Gunn has given himself a fighting chance of reaching next month's final stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying School in Florida by shooting a five-under-par 67 in the third round of the Stage 2 eliminator at Black Bear Creek, Murrieta in California.
The Dornoch-born player, now based at Mesa, Arizona, had birdies at the first, short sixth, long 11th, short 12th and 13th in bogey-free halves of 34 and 33. His 54-hole total of 217, after opening with a pair of 75s, is one over par - 12 behind the leader.
With one round to go, Gunn has moved up to joint 18th place in a field of 75 players. The leading 18 will go forward.
