Chip Beck finished strong, to say the least, making an eagle on the par-5 18th to close out a 7-under 65 in the first round of the Champions Tour's Quebec Championship.
Beck, who leads Duffy Waldorf and Craig Thomas by one stroke, is looking for his first Champions Tour win.
Brad Faxon, Loren Roberts and P.H. Horgan III sit two back at 5 under in the 54-hole tournament at La Tempete Golf Course in Quebec, Canada.
Lee Janzen, who turned 50 last week, shot a 1-under 71 in his first Champions Tour round. He's tied for 42nd.
England's Roger Chapman is T55 after a 72 while Scotland's Sandy Lyle had a 73 for T63
