TWO SCOTS MAKE THE CUT IN ENGLISH
UNDER-16 BOYS STROKE-PLAY
Only two Scots - Cameron Black (Cardross) and Glen Burrett (Haggs Castle) survived the halfway cut in the English Under-16 boys' open stroke play golf championship for the McGregor Trophy at Radcliffe-on-Trent Golf Club.
Black shot 71=74 for 145 and is sharing 18th place behind the leader by three, Denmark's John Axelson who broke the course record with a second-round 66 for four-under 136.
Burrett made it with two shots to space on 146 (71-75) and is sharing 25th place.
Sam Locke (Banchory) missed out by one with 75-74 for 149.
Paul Lawrie's younger son Michael, a Deeside member, also failed with 77-81 for 155, the same total as Darren Howie (Peebles).
