ROGER v LOCKE FOR PAUL LAWRIE

NE DISTRICT BOYS' MATCH-PLAY TITLE

This afternoon's final of the Paul Lawrie Foundation North-east District Under-18 match-play championship will be contested by Stephen Roger (Cruden Bay) and Sam Locke (Banchory).
In this morning's semi-finals at Inverurie Golf Club, Roger, winner of the stroke-play title over 36 holes yesterday, beat Calvin Duffton (Torphins) by 6 and 5 with one-under-par figures.
Locke, runner-up to Roger in the Under-18 stroke play but winner of the Under-16 stroke play title, beat Callum Morrison (Inverurie) by one hole in the other semi-final.
The 18-hole final tees off at 1.30pm.

LATER NEWS: Locke two up on Roger after seven holes but lost a ball off the tee at the eighth to have his lead cut to one hole.

The Paul Lawrie North-east District Under-14 boys stroke play is being played this afternoon.
