JAMES TAKES OVER AS LEADING SCOT WITH A ROUND TO GO


WHITE JUST OUTSIDE TOP 20 IN ALPS

TOUR'S FOUR-ROUNDER IN FRANCE

Fifer James White from Lundin, having made the halfway cut with only one shot to spare, improved to joint 22nd with a one-under-par 70 in the third round of this weekend's Alps Tour event in france, La Mirabelle d'Or International Open at Golf de la Grange aux Ormes.
White, whose earlier rounds were 72 and 75, is now on the five-over 218 mark, 13 shots behind the French leader Xavier Poncelet (69-67-69).
Michael Stewart from Ayrshire is joint 27th with scores of 75, 68 and 75 for 218.
Edinburgh's John Gallagher is sharing 43rd place with rounds of 73, 74 and 76.
