MURCAR LINKS AND NIGG BAY IN MAITLAND SHIELD FINAL

Murcar Links and Nigg Bay will meet in the final of the City of Aberdeen men's double foursomes match-play for the Maitland Shield at Stonehaven Golf Club.
Fog earlier in the put the tournament behind schedule. The final should have been played last night (Friday). Now the
finalists will agree between them a new date that suits both teams.
TheAberdeen Links championship match-play stages are being played in the evenings next week which complicates the issue.
Only one semi-final was played last night when Murcar Links finished a combined five holes up on Bon Accord.
Newmachar were unable to field a team against Nigg Bay and had to give them a walk-over in the second semi-final.

Murcar Links beat Bon Accord by five holes
(B Edmond, M Dunn 0, A Bews, C Stewart 1; M Greig, G Somers 0, B Reid, I Morrice 4).
