PETERHEAD MAN FINISHES JT 28 IN DAR ES SALAM OPEN

McLEAN IS TOP SCOT IN MOROCCO

Philip McLean, in joint 28th place, headed the three Scots competing in the Dar Es Salam Open at Rabat, Morocco where thunder and lightning storms reduced the tournament from three to two rounds.

The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre player, pictured, from Peterhead shot 78-74 for six-over-par 152 over a par-73 course.
McLean deviated for par only three times in his second round - a birdie at the long 10th and bogeys at the eighth and 17th in halves of 37.
Stablemate Sam Kiloh, a rookie pro from Portlethen, tied for 49th place on 156 with a pair of 78s. In his final round Sam birdied the 17th and 18th after a double bogey 6 at the 15th and a bogey at the 16th.
Conor O'Neil from Pollok had rounds of 78 and 80 for 158 and a share of 61st place in a field of more than 100. O'Neil had a triple bogey and two double bogeys in his final rounds.
There was a German 1-2-3 finish to this German PGA developmental tour 30,000 Euros event.
Sebastian Heisel won first prize with a seven-under-par aggregate of 139 (68-71).
Moritz Lampert finished second on 141 (71-70) and Marcel Schneider came third on 142 (73-69).
