MIND THE GAP

Following on from last years successful launch, Ranfurly Castle Golf Club is delighted to continue with its flexible membership initiative, aimed at encouraging more people into the game.
The Golf Access Pass (GAP) has been created to meet the needs of those who want to enjoy the social and health benefits of playing golf, but who cannot commit the time or resources to a traditional golf club membership.
GAP is also an ideal stepping stone for those starting out in the sport who want to build up their confidence and knowledge of the game before graduating to a full club membership.
Based on a unit system, those wishing to take part in the GAP will be issued with 100 units, at a cost of £3.49 each, equating to a total of £349.
Each time they play at Ranfurly Castle, they will use up a set amount of units. For example, a midweek round of golf will cost six units, while a weekend game will be eight units.
 Units can also be used for visitors. GAP golfers play until they have used up all of their units, and may top up at any time they wish (minimum top-up is 12 units).
Ranfurly Castle, celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2014 is situated in the picturesque village of Bridge of Weir and is an undulating moorland course boasting wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and vistas of the Scottish mountains to the north.
Just 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre, the course is regarded as the finest moorland courses in the West of Scotland and has hosted numerous events in the past including the Scottish Seniors Championship, the PGA Assistants’ Match Play Championship, the Scottish Girls’ Championship in 2013 and this year we will host the Mens Scottish Area Team Championships in May.
The clubhouse is reminiscent of Charles Rennie McIntosh in style and offers a warm welcome and full bar and catering service to members and visitors.

Any golfer who wishes to take up this flexible membership between now and the end of April will also receive a complimentary playing lesson with one of our Staff Professional’s.
