PAUL JAMIESON FOLLOWS IN FATHER'S

FOOTSTEPS TO WIN MIDLAND TITLE

Dunblane New Golf Club professional Paul Jamieson has won the J T C Kitchens-sponsored Midland Golfers' Alliance Championship for the first time.
Over the Medal Course at Monifieth Links this week , Paul had a 36-hole aggregate of 147 with rounds of 74-73.
He finished a stroke ahead of Edzell professional Alastair Webster (77-71) and Alyth assistant pro Mark Rae (74-74).
Jamieson is falling in father's footsteps - his dad won the Midland Alliance championship in 1976. 
Steve Harrod, who plays off two at Ballumbie Castle, won the Anderson Tankard for best two-round net total of 147 with scores of 74-73.
Jim Watt, a three-handicapper at Edzell, also totalled 147 net but lost out on the tie-breaker: the better second round. Watt's scores were 72-75.
The McQueen Shield, played over 18 holes was won by Jim Irwin, a seven-handicap Muckhart member, with a net score of 72.
