"FANTASTIC WIN" SAYS COACH MURDOCH

MERCHISTON BOYS BEAT LOTHIAN 

SELECT IN A GALE at KINGS ACRE

Merchiston Golf Academy scored a very good win over a powerful Lothians Select at Kingsacre on Saturday when gale-force winds forced the organisers to play the ties over nine holes.
Merchiston won 5-3, a victory described by coach Alan Murdoch as "fantastic."
"This was an excellent exercise and a great learning experience for our boys. It really shows me they are developing as golfers, improving their skills and becoming all-round competitors," said Murdoch.
Wins from  Charlie Yuille , Andrew White , Leonard Walters , Kayau Siu and young Rory Thain gave Merchiston overall victory against a Lothian team containing three scratch players.

Murray Naysmith lost to Connor Good 2 and 1.
Angus Roberts lost to Scott McCandless 1 hole.
Max Brieck lost to Joe Bryce 1 hole.
Charlie Yuille bt Eric McIntosh 1 hole.
Andrew White bt Nathan McCulloch 1 hole.
Leonard Walters bt Ross McCandless 1 hole.
Kayau Sui bt Connor Wilson 2 holes.
Rory Thain bt Jack Gallacher 3 and 2.
