THREE-DAY EVENT AT DUNDONALD

NEWS RELEASE FROM THE PGA IN SCOTLAND
The PGA in Scotland and Palmer and Harvey are proud to announce a new three-year deal which will see the introduction of a new Order of Merit event to the Tartan Tour Schedule. 
The inaugural PandH Championship will be held at Dundonald Links from April 28 to 30
Palmer and Harvey’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Etherington, remarked:
 “At Palmer and Harvey, our aim is to build long term relationships with our customers, ensuring they get the service and support they need. We are excited about building such a relationship with PGA Scotland and its members. We aim to ensure we fully understand their needs to help them build bigger and better businesses. 
"Palmer and Harvey’s nationwide distribution network will ensure fantastic service for the Scottish PGA members.”
Secretary of the PGA in Scotland, Brian Mair added:
“We are delighted to have agreed this deal. Palmer and Harvey are the UK’S largest delivered wholesaler and their involvement will bring benefits not only to The Tartan Tour but also to our Club Professional members the length and breadth of the country. 
"I also want to personally thank Stephen McAllister for facilitating this new partnership. He has worked tirelessly over the past few months and it is very much appreciated by everyone at  The PGA in Scotland.
"As mentioned, the initial agreement is for three years, and the tournament will be held at the fabulous Dundonald Links, Ayrshire. This year Dundonald Links has been recognised for its commitment to environmental sustainability and best practice with two prestigious accolades.  
The club was awarded the title of ‘UK Environmental Golf Course of the Year’ by the world’s leading sports turf consultancy, the STRI, and in addition the course achieved golf’s international ecolabel GEO Certified™ - a trusted symbol of great golf environments worldwide.
Frank Clarkson, Dundonald Links course superintendent, said: “Dundonald Links is delighted to be the recipient of the prestigious Golf Environment Awards Course of the Year 2014. We are honoured and humbled to sit amongst some of the country’s finest examples of golf clubs who embrace best practice”. 
Director of Golf, Guy Redford, added “We look forward to extending a very warm welcome to everyone involved with The PandH Championship.”
