MOROCCO FORM AUGURS WELL FOR CHALLENGE TOUR

LAW'S CLOSING 66s EARN HIM A SHARE 

OF 2nd PLACE IN AL MAADEN OPEN
 
David Law, limbering up for his Challenge Tour campaign, covered his last 36 holes in 12-under-par with a pair of 66s to finishd joint second in the Al Maaden Open at Marrakesh, Morocco.

Aberdonian Law, pictured, had begun the 54-hole tournament with a par 72 which including a double bogey 6 at the 18th. But for that he would have finished second on his own in this German PGA Developmental Tour event.
Law's bogey-free final round today (Saturday) was studded with birdies at the third, fourth, fifth and seventh in an outward 32, followed by further birdies at the 11th and 16th in 34 home.
He tied with RobinKind (Netherlands) and Germany's Max Kramer on 12-under 204, seven shots behind the winner, Moritz Lampert (Germany) who totalled 19-under 197 with scores of 66, 66 and 65.
Law's Paul Lawrie Golf Centre team-mates Jordan Findlay from Fraserburgh and Peterhead's Philip McLean finished on 210 and 214 respectively.
Findlay had rounds of 67, 70 and 73 to tie for 20th place.
McLean shot 69, 71 and 74.
