CHRIS AND HEATHER FAIL TO BREAK

80 IN SPANISH TOURNAMENT

The temperature in southeast Spain was not up in the 80s today but Chris Kelly from Cawder and his girlfriend Heather MacRae were!

Kelly had a second round of 82 for 153 and a joint 21st place finish in the Spanish Evolve Tour's 36-hole El Valle Open at El Valle Golf Club.

Heather followed suit with an 81 for 154 and joint 23rd place.

Kelly had three double bogeys in halves of 42-40 while MacRae, the Gleneagles staff pro, had a triple bogey 8 at the 17th in her iniward half of 43.

Former Walker Cup player, Welshman Bradley Dredge won by five shots with scores of 69 and 71 for four-under 140. He was the only player to finish under par for the 36 holes.
