Heavy rain over past few days makes course too wet to play

NE ALLIANCE AT NEWBURGH IS OFF
 
Tomorrow's North-east Alliance at Newburgh on Ythan has been cancelled.
There has been so much heavy rain over the past few days that the course is virtually unplayable.
Tee times arranged will be carried over to next Wednesday's Peterhead fixture.
Following last week's cancellation of the competition at Fraserburgh, this means that for the first time for ages, two NE Alliances in a row have
had to be called off because of the weather.
Normally it's snow that's the bugbear of Alliance scheduling at this time of the year but it's rain, rain and even more rain that's the problem in January 2014.
If you are a NE Alliance member and you wish to change your time or book one for the first time, call joint secretary Dave Wilson next TUESDAY (not before and not after) on 07523 859149 between 10am and 4pm.
The phone is only switched on on Tuesdays.
