SCOTLAND MIGHT STILL RETAIN PGAs OF EUROPE TITLE

Scotland still have a chance of retaining the PGAs of Europe International team championship and scoring their eighth win in the 72-hole tournament at Palmares on Portugal's Algarve coastline.
But the second-placed Scots, two shots behind leaders Netherlands, will have to make up a two-stroke leeway over the final round.
Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf), pictured, is playing best of the three Scots.  In fact, he is joint best at the top of the whole field.
Graham shot a five-under-par third round of 67 for a tally of one-under 215 and is tied for first place individually with Benjamin Nicolay (France).
David Orr (Mearns Castle) left his earlier form well behind with a 71 for 228 which has him sharing 23rd place.
Greg McBain, who will join the Kemnay pro staff next month, had his best round, a 72 for 223, but with only two of the three individual scores to count for team purposes, his round was discarded.
In the team title chase Netherlands (436) lead from Scotland (438) and Ireland (439). The winners should come from these three.
