GET A MOVE ON AT BROCH AND PETERHEAD, SAYS ALLIANCE JT SEC DAVE WILSON

North-east Alliance joint secretary David Wilson is concerned that slow players out early in the field are not giving those who are at the back end of the field the chance to finish in daylight.

"At today's competition at Montrose Links, the first four off the tee got round in 3hr 15min," said Daiv.

"Now, I agreed that was an exceptional speed. But the second four off the tee took four hours to complete their round. That was the other end of the pace-of-play scale.

"There will obviously be less daylight for the last two fixtures of the first half of the NE Alliance season - at Fraserburgh next Wednesday and Peterhead on December 4.

"I would ask every player to step up their usual pace at these competitions. Some people have to play at the end of the field for one reason or another. Give them a break by allowing them to play 18 holes in daylight."

 Incidentally, the NE Alliance membership list is closed for the season, the figure of 140 having been reached.
