GRAHAM FOX WINS WITH PAR 71 AT CHILLY WESTERN GAILES


Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) mastered a 25mph chilly wind to shoot a level par 71 over the Western Gailes links and head a field of 87 at the second Ayrshire Winter Golf Association competition of the season.
Fox was runner-up in the opening event at Dundonald Links.
Stephen Gray (Hayston) was runner-up with a 72 at Western Gailes where there were 17 No Returns in the testing conditions.
Fox, pictured, leads the AWGA Order of Merit with 17pt after two events, 3pt ahead of his nearest rival, Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs).
Dean Robertson's father David (Cochrane Castle) won the Ian McLeod Trophy in the amateur section by three shots with a net 73 off six of a handicap.
