FIFE PIP PERTH AND KINROSS FOR MIDLAND TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Fife pipped Perth and Kinross for the Midland men's team golf championship in a "photo-finish" at Braehead GC to the four-cornered eight-a-side stroke-play tournament.
With seven of the eight scores to count for a team's total, Fife and PandK finished level on 500.
The tie-breaker was a comparison of each team's eighth scorer - and Fife's 78 to PandK's 79 was the decider of the destination of the trophy.
Allan Watson (Clackmannan) won the individual trophy with a 67 on a better inward half than Glenn Campbell (Perth and Kinross) who also had a 67.
