BON ACCORD WIN SIMMERS TROPHY FOURSOMES
Bon Accord's Barrie Edmond and Matty Greig won the North-east District foursomes tournament for the Simmers Trophy at Cruden Bay today (Sunday).
They shot a 71 to win by a single stroke from Murcar Links (Bryan Innes and Anthony Bews).
It was Edmond's third Simmers Trophy success - twice with Greig as a partner and once with Stephen Wheeler.
Three pairs tied for third place on the 73 mark. Royal Aberdeen (Grant Joss and Andrew Carrell) were officially placed third with the best back nine.
