SCRATCH OF BETTER AMATEURS CAN ENTER NORTHERN OPEN PRE-QUALIFYING

The PGA in Scotland are pleased to announce that entries for the 2013 Northern Open at Meldrum House will be accepted from amateur golfers with a handicap of scratch or below.
Any amateur who wishes to play in the tournament will be required to pre-qualify. The Qualification round for the tournament will take place at Craigielaw Golf Club in East Lothian on Monday,  August 5. The entry fee for the qualifying Round will be £35, with those who are successful in gaining entry to the tournament required to pay a further £65.
The tournament is a 72 hole stroke-play event, with 18 holes being played on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 August, before a cut is made, with the leading players playing a further 36 holes on Thursday 29 August.
Any amateur wishing to enter may do so by telephoning the PGA in Scotland office on 01764 661840, or by e-mail pgainscotland@pga.org.uk   Proof of handicap must be sent before any entry is accepted.
