ERNIE ELS STILL TO COMMIT TO PLAYING IN SCOTTISH OPEN AT CASTLE STUART

FROM SKY SPORTS.COM WEBSITE
Ernie Els is undecided if he will play in next week's Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart.
The reigning Open Champion has entered the tournament in Inverness but must decide whether he wants to practe or compete ahead of defending his title at Muirfield.
The South African won the BMW International Open in Munich recently and is heading to Scotland this week.
He said: "I see that my name is down to play the Scottish Open but my plan is not to play.
"I've got a nice break coming up and I'll head back and forth to Muirfield, starting on Tuesday, to get myself familiar with the golf course again.
"I feel I might need a little bit of a run before The Open as three weeks off is a long time for me.
"You can only practise that much, you have to hit shots under pressure. At the end of the day I am a professional golfer, I have to do things that feel right to me."
The 43-year-old won The Open when it was last staged at Muirfield in 2002.
Among those already taking part at Castle Stuart are Phil Mickelson, Padraig Harrington, Darren Clarke, Paul Lawrie and Paul Casey.
