LAST SCOTS GO OUT OF BRITISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

The last two Scots in the British amateur championship at Royal Cinque Ports, Kent were beaten in this morning's third round (last 32). Which makes it fairly certain there will be no Scots in the
GB and I team to defend the Walker Cup in America later this year.
Adam Dunton (McDonald Ellon) was beaten 3 and 2 by Neil Raymond (Corhampton), recent winner of the St Andrews Links Trophy.
Grant Forrest (Craigielaw), winner of the Scottish amateur championship at Royal Dornoch last summer, lost by two holes to Toni Hikula (Finland).
