AILSA, HEATHER AND KIRSTIN WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AT CARDRONA HOTEL, PEEBLES TOURNAMENT TODAY

Good luck to Ailsa Bain (Cardrona), Heather MacRae (Gleneagles) and Kirstin Scott (Gleneagles) in today's second and final round of the Cardrona Hotel 36-hole Challenge at the Peebles venue today.
Ailsa and Heather have both played on the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Scottish Ladies Open Tour.

Kirstin, pictured left,  teed off at 8.10am with Richard Fyvie and Sam McLaren but the rounds will take more than four hours so plenty of time to catch them in action.
Heather and Ailsa are paired together again with Patrick Walker, the Ballumbie Castle GC, Monifieth pro, as the third member of their threesome.
If you fancy a day watching golf and Peebles is within a car's drive away from you, why not go down/over and give the girls your support. No admission charge for spectators and no charge for parking as far as we are aware.

I'm sure Ailsa, Heather and Kirstin would appreciate it. After all they are playing in a field of 86 - 83 of whom are men - for this PGA of Scotland event.
Scroll down  for a report on the first day's play but I can tell you that Ailsa and Heather did very well in the first round.
They are T24 on level-par 72 - great that Ailsa, pictured right, a former Scottish U18 girls match-play champion, was able to match par over the Dave Thomas-designed course despite having two double bogey 6s on her card.
Ailsa's local knowledge - she is based at the Macdonald Cardona Hotel Golf and Country Club - undoubtedly helped.

Heather MacRae, a winner on the LETAS circuit in Sweden last week. Fair to say the heather is blooming. Heather is one of the strongest supporters of the Paul Lawrie Scottish Ladies Open Tour. She is sponsored by Stewart Spence of The Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel, in the western suburbs of Aberdeeen.
