INVERNESS BOY GRINDELL WINS SPENCE TROPHY AT LOSSIEMOUTH


David Grindell (Inverness) won the North of Scotland boys' championship for the H R Spence Trophy at Moray Golf Club, Lossiemouth on Sunday.

Trailing after a first-round 81, Grindell produced the best round of the day in the improved afternoon conditions, a 74, in the second round for a total of 155 - pipping clubhouse leaders Rory Asher (The Nairn) 80-76) and Callum Coutts (Alford) (78-78).
