Home course competitors were to the fore in this week's Midland Golfers' Alliance fixture, the Eddie Sherry pro-am, at Burntisland Golf Club, Fife. On a cold and wet day, Burntisland professional Paul Wytrazek shared the scratch prize on two-over-par 72 with Gary Tough, who plays off +1 at Edzell. Gary also led his team of John Gilchrist (Dunnikier Park) (6), Archie Burton (Dunnikier Park) (3) and Dougal Spaven (Pitlochry) (8) to a three-stroke victory with a net total of 129 in the team event.
