JOHN GALLAGHER TIES FOR SIXTH PLACE ON GECKO TOUR

Former Scottish amateur champion John Gallagher from Edinburgh finished joint sixth in a field of 56 players for this week's Spanish Gecko Tour event over 36 holes at Finca Cortesin Golf Club, Murcia.
Gallagher had rounds of 75 and 76 to earn 275 Euros.
Spaniards filled the first four places with Jaime Camargo winning the 2,000 Euros top prize with a pair of 73s for two-over-par 146.
He had three shots from compatriots Juan Francisco Parron (74-75), Gabriel Canizares (73-76) and Raul Quiros (74-75)
England's Jack Winer finished fifth with scores of 72 and 78 for 150.
Overnight leader Marek Novy had a spectacular fall from grace. He followed up a 69 with an 84 to finish T10 on 153.
