GALLAGHER AND ISAACS TOP SCOTS IN SPAIN'S GECKO PRO TOUR

Former Scottish amateur champion John Gallagher, now attached to Duddingston Golf Club, and Malcolm Isaacs (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) were the leading Scots at the end of the first round of this weekend's 36-hole Geck Pro Tour event at Valle Romano Golf Club, Estepona on Spain's Costa del Sol.They both shot one-over-par 72 on a windy day to be lying joint seventh at halfway behind the English leader, Blane Brehney who opened up a two-shot advantage over the field of 46 players with a two-under 69.
Breheny finished joint second in the Gecko Pro Tour event recently at San Roque where Norway's Eirik Tage Johansen was the winner. Johnasen is lying joint second in this tournament.Myles Cunningham (Longniddry) had a 78 for a share of 29th place while Elliot Saltman (Archerfield Links) was tied for 35th place after an 80.
