SCOTS TO THE FORE ON GOLFSLINGER.COM TOUR
Greg Duncan from Edinburgh and Murrayshall's Gavin Dear from Scone finished joint third and joint fifth respectively in a field of 42 for the Golfslinger.com Tour's Fountains December Classic over 18 holes at Fountains Country Club, Lake Worth in Florida on Monday.
Duncan shot a one-under--par 70 to earn $515. He finished two shots behind the American winner of the $1,000 first prize, Jimmy Lytle.
Dear had a round of par 71 and earned $313.
The Perthshire man has won $1,919 in all on the Florida mini-tour during 2012.
Next stop for the pair of Scots enjoying the Florida weather in contrast to the snow in Scotland is the Fort Lauderdale Open at Jacaranda Golf Club.
Entry fee, by the way, to each of these events is $200 and there is an annual membership fee as well.
