OPTICAL EXPRESS OOM £500 BONUS DECIDED MONDAY-TUESDAY

MEDIA RELEASE FROM PGA IN SCOTLAND
The final PGA in Scotland Order of Merit event of the season takes place at The Duke's Course, St. Andrew's this coming week (Monday-Tuesday), with a maximum field of 60 players not only looking to secure their playing rights for 2013, but also hoping to add the Optical Express Order of Merit title to their CV as well.
In addition to the prize-fund on offer for the event, the overall winner of the PGA Optical Express OOM will receive a £500 bonus, with Greig Hutcheon in pole position to clinch that honour as he is currently over 50 points ahead of his nearest challenger David Patrick.
Hutcheon has already clinched the 2012 Scottish Order of Merit title with the Optical Express events playing a significant part in that success, being responsible for six of the nine counting events to the overall award.
Michael MacDougall, secretary of the PGA in Scotland, commented "This tournament brings down the curtain on our season, and it also ends the first year of our association with Optical Express. We greatly appreciate their support and hope that it will continue in the years to come."
David Moulsdale, the CEO of Optical Express, commented: "One of our main aims in establishing this series was to help develop young Scottish talent. After the astonishing events at Medinah last weekend, it would be fantastic if in years to come any of the players who have competed in our events were to follow in the footsteps of Paul Lawrie and represent Europe in the future."
