Edinburgh and East of Scotland Alliance
After the disappointment of having to abandon our outing last week
at Royal Musselburgh (now re-scheduled for 7thNov) we headed to The
Roxburghe and a healthy field of 88 made their way to the Borders.

Winner
of the Michael Allan Memorial Trophy today was Keir McNicholl (Gullane)
fresh from his excellent 2nd place scratch in the recent Scottish
Golfers' Alliance 2012 Championship at Monifieth and Arbroath
Links. Keir has a gross 69 which was matched by Andrew Oldcorn (Kings
Acre) who was pipped by a countback which came down to the last 3 holes.
The
two 69's were also the top Scratch scores today with 3rd place going to
new member Jamie McLeary(Dalmahoy) and Challenge Tour player one shot
further back on 70.
In
the handicap stakes Daniel Airens of Falkirk Tryst was top scorer with
net 72 (81 less 9) closely followed in 2nd place was Alan MacKay
(Kingsknowe) net 73 (76 less 3) and 3rd place going to our
Vice-President Steven Doyle (Liberton) net 74 (80 less 6).
In the Senior ranks top prize went to Iain Stavert of Duddingston with net 77 (81 less 4).
After 4 events the Order of Merits are as follows -
Scratch
1. Andrew Erskine(Ratho Park) - 220.0 points
2=. Craig Imlah(Peebles) - 200.5 points
2=. Gordon Law (Uphall) - 200.5 points
Handicap
1. Darren Love(Archerfield) - 64.5 points
2. Danny Airens (Falkirk Tryst) - 50.0 points
3. Alan MacKay (Kingsknowe) - 49 points
Next event is at Duddingston next week.
