DARREN CLARKE DENIES RYDER CUP CAPTAINCY SUGGESTIONS
Darren Clarke has denied he has been approached already to be captain of the European team to defend the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in 2014.
This follows increasing conjecture that Clarke is being lined up to succeed Jose Maria Olazabal.
Clarke, who was one of Olazabal's assistants in Chicago two weeks ago, went on Twitter following reports and said: "To clarify..I have not been offered the Ryder Cup captaincy.
