McALLISTER LEADS FOUR SCOTS QUALIFIERS


FOUR Scots - Shaun McAllister (Craigielaw), Mark Kerr (Marriott Dalmahoy), Malcolm Isaacs of Nairn Dunbar,  and Grantown on Spey's Duncan Stewart survived the cut to the top 50 in this week's PGA EuroPro Tour event at Wychwood Park, Crewe.
McAllister will start the third and final round in joint fourth place on 139 after rounds of 70 and 69. He is six shots behind the leader, Paul Maddy, who had a brilliant second-round 62 for 133 and leads by two in the chase for the £10,000 jackpot prize.
Stewart improved by 11 shots from Day 1 with a bogey-free, six-under 66 for 143 and  a share of 21st place.
Kerr scored 73-72 for 145 and joint 36th place, the same mark as Malcolm  Isaacs who birdied the 16th and 18th for a 71 to make it through..
Elliot Saltman (Archerfield Links) (75-72) and recent winner Wallace Booth (Comrie) (74-73) both missed out narrowly on 147.
Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) (77-71), Chris Kelly (Cawder) (74-74), Paul Doherty (Vale Hotel) (76-72) and Zack Saltman (Archerfield Links) (73-75) finished over the limit on 148.
Other Scots non-qualifiers were John Gallagher (Turnhouse) (74-75) and Myles Cunningham (Longniddry) (77-72) on 149 and Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) from Ellon with 73-79 for 152.
