BALLUMBIE CASTLE PRO WINS AT SHOTTS

Colin@scottishgolfview.comEnglishman Patrick Walker, the professional at Ballumbie Castle Golf Club, Monifieth, won the Shotts Young Pros' 54-hole tournament today His Sunday best of seven-under-par 63, which gave him a four-shot overnight lead, stood him in good stead over the final 36 holes. Walker added a 71 and 70 for a six-under-par total of 204. He won the £698 prize by four shots from runner-up Graeme Brown (Montrose Links) who had scores of 71, 69 and 68 for 208 and a £482 cash reward. Neil Fenwick (Dunbar) finished third on 211 with improving scores of 72, 70 and 69. He earned £383.
