ABERDEEN AND DISTRICT PENNANT LEAGUE SCOREBOARD

Deeside scored their third win in three matches of the Aberdeen and District Pennant League, sponsored by The Cults Hotel, when they beat Royal Aberdeen 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 at their Bieldside headquarters.

The match was very close throughout. Points were hard fought and the final outcome was in the balance until the very end.

Deeside's fourth pairing of Tom Rennie and Alistair Hutchison made a crucial comeback from one down with three to play to beat I Middleton and M Wilson and effectively seal the overall home win.

The match of the night was, without question, Match 3 with the Royal Aberdeen pairing of Nick Macandrew and M Black beating R Freeland and Simon Cruickshank by 2 and 1 with some great golf.

The Balgownie pair made seven birdies between them (six by Nick Macandrew alone, five of which were back-to-back!).
