McCLUNG SHAVES TWO STROKES OFF STRANRAER COURSE RECORD

Kyle McClung, a member at Wigtownshire County and Stranraer golf clubs, has slashed two shots off the course record for the Stranraer lay-out.
He shot a bogey-free eight-under-par 62 in a club medal competition with birdies at the fifth, eighth, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 17th and 18th.
The previous record low for the Stranraer course of 6,308yd, designed by James Braid, was 64.
