GRAEME BROWN WINS MIDLAND ALLIANCE TITLE BY NINE SHOTS

Montrose Links assistant professional Graeme Brown won the Midland Golfers' Alliance Championship, sponsored by JTC Interiors, by nine shots over Carnoustie Burnside.
Brown had rounds of 66 and 62 for an eight-under-par total of 128.
Runner-up was Downfield GC amateur Ross Bell with 72 and 65 for 137
In the handicap section Hugh Cowbrough, who plays off six at Muckhart GC),  won with net scores of 70, 64 for a total of 134. In the McQueen Shield, played over 18 holes, Alan Reid, who plays off 12 at Monifieth) won five shots with a net score of 63.
