EAST BEAT WEST IN ANNUAL ALLIANCE MATCH

Edinburgh and East of Scotland beat the West of Scotland Alliance by 12 1/2 to 11 1/2 in the annual inter-alliance golf match at Lanark GC this week to retain the trophy.

Next year's match will be played at Bruntsfield Golf Club.
