Out first today in the meeting at Falkirk Tryst and first in the prizewinners' list was Hugh Burns. The scratch player from Troon Welbeck finished two shots clear of the field of 68 players with a four-under-par 66.

Tartan Tour star Stephen Gray (Hayston) and Colville Park tour pro Paul O'Hara shared second place on 68.
