STRONG FINISH GIVES SCOTT HENRY JT FIFTH PLACE IN SPAIN

Scott Henry covered the last eight holes in four-under-par for a 69 and a final total of two-under-par 214 in the Spanish Hi5 Pro Tour's Hacienda del Alamo Open in southeast Spain today.
The Cardross man, pictured, Scottish amateur stroke-play champion in 2006 and national boys title-winner in 2004-2005, earned 768 Euros for a joint fifth finish behind the winning Englishman, James Ruth, who signed off with a 69 for an eight-under total fo 208 and a two-shot victory. He earned 4,034 Euros.
Banchory's Greig Hucheon was heading for his first sub-par round until he bogeyed the 13th, 14th and 15th and finished with a par 72 for 217 and joint 11th place. Hutcheon collected 288 Euros as did Aberdeen's Scott Henderson who slumped to a share of 13th place with a disappointing final round of 75, coming home in 40, for a total of 218.
Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan) had a double bogey 6 at the 7 on his way to a 74 for 220 to just creep into the top 20 in 19th position, which earned him 231 Euros.
Former Rangers footballer Ian Redford senior closed with a 78 for 229 and a share of 36th place. His payslip for the week added up to 58 Euros.
