TIGER TO MAKE DEBUT IN ABU DHABI AT END OF JANUARY

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates -- Tiger Woods is moving from Dubai's showcase tournament to make his debut in Abu Dhabi.
Organisers say the former top-ranked golfer will play in the January 26 to 29 HSBC Championship along with current No 1 Luke Donald and defending champion Martin Kaymer.
Adding Woods is seen as a coup for Abu Dhabi in its rivalry with the Dubai Desert Classic, where Woods has been a mainstay for years. Tournament manager Faisal al-Sheikh boasted that the "giants of golf" are coming to Abu Dhabi.
In last February's Desert Classic, Woods finished tied for 20th.
It also means Woods will miss the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, a course over which he has won seven times, including the 2008 U.S. Open.
