EDZELL PRO WEBSTER WINS AT WINDY FAIRMONT ST ANDREWS
Edzell Golf Club professional Alastair Webster coped admirably with very windy conditions at Fairmont St Andrews today to win the Midland Golfers' Alliance competiition with a one-over-par 73 on the Torrance Course. Webster won the top scratch prize by two shots from Brahead pro Jamie Stevenson and Donald McKay, pro at the Wellsgreen Golf Range. Stevenson (P, Braehaed) led his team of Jim Stevenson (Dunfermline) (handicap 8), Murdie Gilmour (Braehead) (7) and Ken Kilgour (Dunfermline) (11) to victory in the team event with a best-ball net 137.
