SCOTT LITTLE, GARY THOMSON SET PACE AT LOSSIEMOUTH

Two-under-par 68s led the way after Day 1 of the 106th Moray Open at Lossiemouth.
Scott Little and Gary Thomson of the host club shared the honours by one stroke from Malcolm L Macleman - also a Moray Golf Club member.
Scott opened badly with a double bogey 6 then birdied four of the next five holes. Gary played more steadily with three birdies against a solitary bogey, also at the first.

Shot of the day was at the 11th hole of the New Course where Alex. W Mair, partnered by William Stewart and John Meichan, holed his his tee shot at the 151yd par-3 hole, using a 9 iron.

John Meichan comfortably led the handicap section with a net 63 off a 7 handicap. He birdied his last two holes to finish with a level par 70.
