CRAIBSTONE SUMMER ALLIANCES CONTINUE ON WEDNESDAY

Craibstone Golf Club, near Abedeen, will continue its Summer Alliance 18-hole competitions this Wednesday at the Bucksburn venue near Aberdeen.
The event is open to male and female amateurs and professionals, on the same lines as a North-east Alliance meeting. The maximum handicaps permitted are 20 for males and 30 for females but that does not stop you playing if you are for example a 24-handicap male. All it means is that you play off 20 for net score purposes in this event.
The tee is open from 8am to 2pm on Wednesday for those playing in the Summer Alliance.
You can roll up announced or you can make sure of a time and a partner by ringing General Manager Billy Sim at the Craibstone clubhouse - 01224 716777.
You don't have to reside in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire to play in the Craibstone Alliances. You could be on holiday in the area; you may live as far away as Skibo Castle in Ross-shire but that doesn't stop pro Joel Hopwood from making the long trip south to play.
The normal visitor's green fee Craibstone is £35 but you can play in the Craibstone Summer Alliance for only £15. If you are a member, it will cost you only £10. All the money goes out again in prizes.
Catering is available every day in the Craibstone clubhouse, even to those who are just out for a walk in the countryside.
