Kings Links tour pro Scott Henderson and the Farm Foods 3 amateur trio of father and son Eric (handicap 12) and Colin Herd (handicap 18) plus Gerry Savage (handicap 17) swooped late in the day to win the Paul Lawrie Invitational curtain-raising pro-am with a net team score of 15-under-par 55.
No individual pro scores were returned.
Henderson and his team finished only one shot ahead of McDonald Ellon tour pro Ross Cameron and the Saltire Energy 1 team of amateurs.

HUTCHEON AND FOX TIE ON 65 AT PARKDEAN HOLIDAYS PRO-AM
Man in form Greig Hutcheon collected another £1,000 first prize in today’s (
Parkdean Holidays pro-am at Ayr Bellisle golf course. The Banchory tour pro’s six-under-par score of 65 was matched by East Kilbride ’s Graham Fox who also earned £1,000 as a share of the spoils.
Hutceon and Fox finished a shot ahead of Chris Kelly, Robert Arnott, Stephen and Kenny Walker who all earned £475 apiece.
There was some exceptional scoring in the pro-am team event, won by pro Ian Colquhoun and the “Ambushers” – Robert Gray (handicap 7), Jim Beveridge (15) and Mark Cameron (14) – with a best two from three net team score of 119.
