SHOULDER OPERATION MEANS BOOTH IS OUT FOR SEASON

Wallace Booth, the Comrie tour pro, is out for the next of the golf season before it has hardly started.
The former Walker Cup player who won the Eisenhower Trophy in 2008 for Scotland with team-mates Gavin Dear and Calum Macaulay has had his pro career hampered for some time by a niggling shoulder injury.
Now he has had an operation in an effort to heal the problem but the price the 25-year-old has to pay is that it will take months of recuperation before he can even start hitting balls again.
