MUIRFIELD CONTRACTS BEAT GREENKEEPERS IN TRADES FINAL

Muirfield Contracts, comparative newcomers to the annual Aberdeen Trades men's double foursomes team match-play tournament at Hazlehead No 1, won the 75th staging of the tournament last night.
They beat previous winners Greenkeepers by one hole in a "lopsided" final.
Matt Greig and Scott Robertson, the Muirfield Contracts lead-off pairing, finished five up on Dennis Grrant and Ross McCrae.
But the situation was almost reversed in the match between the teams' second pairings.
Mark Greig and Ian Flannigan of Muirfield Contracts finished four down to Graeme Mitchell and Fraser Downie.
