21st Anniversary Four-Day Open Tournament

NEWS RELEASE ISSUED BY NEWMACHAR GOLF CLUB
Newmachar Golf Club are pleased to announce they will be holding a 4-day open, to mark its 21st anniversary, from Tuesday 9th to Friday 12th August 2011.
Format for this event will consist of two qualifying rounds on the Hawkshill course, where the top 16 in each section (1 scratch and 2 handicap sections) will progress to the knockout match-play stages. Consolation rounds for non qualifiers will take place over the Swailend course on the Thursday and Friday.
Total Prize fund will be over £3000, with the matchplay winners taking home £400 for scratch and £350 in each of the 2 handicap sections.
Leading qualifiers and individual qualifying round winners, in each section, will take home £50 and £30 respectively. Consolation round prizes will start at £120 for the winner, down to £40 for 5th place.


Entry Fee will be £35 for members and £70 for visitors
Entries will be taken at Newmachar Golf Club on 01651 863002 (option 1), from Jan 5th through to July 19th, and will be limited to 150.
