John Gallagher set to pass Q School test

FROM THE SCOTSMAN WEBSITE
Swanston's John Gallagher is on course to pass stage one of the European Tour's qualifying school in Austria.
The former Scottish Amateur champion posted a two-under 70 for a four-under 212 to cement his place in the top-five with a round to play.

Gallagher sits in a share of fifth spot, seven shots behind Swedish leader Niclas Johansson, with the top 14 players after 72-holes progressing to stage two of the q-school marathon in November.

Perth's Steven Hume, who was in seventh at the start of day three, tumbled down to 21st with a damaging 76 for 219 and lags fours shots outside the current qualifying mark.

At Barbaroux in France, former European Amateur champion Victor Dubuisson opened up a six-shot lead over the field with a 73 for 208.
